"The feast at the desert fortress had ended by its lord's order. Zehdrunas spoke to his captive as almost everyone in attendance was starting to leave the room.

-Even tough you failed at dancing I'm sure you have some other talents. Rest assured that I'll find them as soon as we are at my chambers.

Meira knew this was the chance she was waiting for. A moment all alone with Zehdrunas. She could quickly dispatch him while inside his private chamber and no one would notice it. She smiled to her insides even as she was dragged away by one of the Desert Lord's henchmen.

Suddenly, the slave buyers approached Zehdrunas once more.

-Ah! There you are. Well, have you taken a decision?- asked Zehdrunas.

-I think so, his greatness.

-Of course you have, no doubt after watching that pathetic performance this one gave.

-You are most right my lord.

-Tell me, which one?

-This one- said the old slave trader, pointing to Aanisa.
-We think she will do just fine.

There was a moment of silence. Meira was shocked. Should Zehdrunas sell Aanisa this would turn for the worst. She would be taken far away from the palace and all her plan would be ruined.

Aanisa for her part felt her heart beating stronger and stronger. She wanted to run away from all of this. The Zehdrunas spoke.

-Get up, girl- he ordered Aanisa.

Aanisa's eyes filled with tears. Meira remained silent uncertain of what to do.
